About Us

The Dallas Film Commission is the official film commission for the Greater Dallas Fort Worth Region and is a member of the Association of Film Commissions International.  The film commission is a department of the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau, which is a non-profit organization and is also supported by the City of Dallas

The commission is responsible for the promotion of the DFW region to film, television and media professionals as a destination/location, serving as a liaison between filmmakers scouting sites for feature films, television, documentaries, commercials, videos and all forms of media seeking suitable venues in the North Texas area.  It also provides information regarding local resources such as crew, equipment and services.   Its mission also includes educating, promoting and advocating for growth of our local industry.

Reflecting experienced staff, civic support and a diverse selection of sites throughout one of the largest metropolitan areas in the United States, the commission is your partner from project conception to completion - locating the most suitable sites in the North Texas area, expediting approval processes, and anticipating and preventing potential issues.  We will strive to help you create an excellent final product, delivered on time and within budget.

Let the Dallas Film Commission be your one-stop-shop to production in the North Texas area!
